About Allo Darlin'

Allo Darlin' was a British indie pop band that formed in 2007 in London. Known for their infectious melodies and heartfelt lyrics, the band quickly became a favourite within the indie music scene. Led by singer-songwriter Elizabeth Morris, Allo Darlin’ was celebrated for their nostalgic, jangly guitar sounds and clever lyricism, often drawing comparisons to bands like The Go-Betweens and Belle and Sebastian.

Their music blended upbeat pop with introspective folk, with themes of love, longing, and travel, capturing both the sweetness and complexity of personal relationships. The band’s self-titled debut album, Allo Darlin' (2010), featured standout tracks like “The Polaroid Song” and “Kiss Your Lips,” showcasing their ability to create catchy, poignant songs. Their follow-up albums, Europe (2012) and We Come From the Same Place (2014), further solidified their place in the indie pop world, with tracks that combined an effortlessly breezy sound with more mature, reflective lyrics.
