Alfa Mist (Alfa Sekitoleko) is a London-based pianist, producer, composer and MC whose music lives at the intersection of jazz, hip-hop and soulful introspection. Growing up in Newham, he started making grime and hip-hop beats as a teenager before discovering jazz through sampling — eventually teaching himself piano to decode the harmonies he admired. Over time, his aesthetic expanded: intimate bedroom-studio production meets band arrangements, improvisation meets groove, and urgency meets emotional restraint.
His early EP Nocturne (2015) introduced him as a quietly ambitious voice in the UK jazz scene, and his breakthrough record Antiphon (2017) established him as a composer with a personal and narrative vision. He followed with Structuralism (2019) — exploring identity, voice and space — and more recently Bring Backs (2021) and Variables (2023), which broadened his sonic palette. He’s performed at major UK festivals, shared stages with peers like Tom Misch, Jordan Rakei and Yussef Dayes, and attracted praise for bringing jazz and beat-rooted music into new ears.
