Ahmed Eid is a Palestinian musician and activist whose work blends traditional Arabic rhythms with global influences to create soul-stirring music. Born in 1987 to parents in political exile, he moved to Ramallah at the age of eight and later to Berlin at 27, where he currently resides. Eid is the co-founder of the internationally acclaimed band Bukahara, where he seamlessly transcends roles as bassist, percussionist, guitarist, and singer-songwriter. His music tells stories of struggle and liberation, reflecting his commitment to nurturing the next generations of creatives at the Palestine Music Space in Ramallah.
In 2024, Eid released his debut solo EP, Aghani Akhira ("Last Songs"), which delves into pressing personal and global issues such as patriarchal violence and colonialism. Beyond his musical endeavors, Eid is dedicated to fostering a vibrant music community in Palestine, providing free music education and recording space through the Palestine Music Space initiative. His unwavering commitment to nurturing emerging talents and alternative music scenes reflects his deep-rooted belief in the power of music as a form of resistance and expression.
