Italia Conti’s new MFA Teaching and Coaching: The Speaking Voice is a two-year part-time course leading to a qualification that will equip each student to teach voice skills classes and production support (theatre, screen, audio) to performance art students and coach performance art students in tutorials. The course distinguishes between the roles of voice teaching and coaching; teaching focussed on providing a journey of vocal development, and coaching as guiding an actor through vocal challenges specific to medium/script needs or other voice users through vocal demands inherent in their profession. ​Delivered as a two-year part-time course. A one-year part-time option will be available in the future. Entry - September 2023 The course is designed to develop creative and innovative voice teachers and coaches (who already have an understanding of acting and performance through their own training or professional experience) to be able to teach voice effectively in actor training settings. Further graduates of the MFA will be able to coach to a professional standard for theatre, film, TV and Audio. -
