The Opera House is an Edwardian building and is only partially accessible to wheelchair users. We have four wheelchair spaces in the Ground Floor Stalls with specially adapted toilets. The Stalls Bar is not accessible but a member of staff will gladly bring refreshment to your seat. The building is not accessible by motorised scooter. Disabled customers are eligable for a free ticket for a companion or carer. There is a passive infra red system in operation at the Opera House, but only in some areas, please check when booking. This is available through a specialist head set which requires a £10 deposit to be placed when booking.
Buxton is easy to reach by car via the A6, A515 and A53. The theatre is well sign posted once you reach the city centre. There is free car parking after 6pm at the rear of the Pavillion Gardens, approx 100 yards away from the theatre, or in some street near by which are not covered by the Residents Parking Scheme.
