THE STYLE COUNCILLORS
"CAFÉ BLEU" TOUR 2020
The Style Councillors celebrate "Café Bleu", the seminal debut album by The Style Council.
The Style Councillors are the world's one and only tribute to The Style Council.
Formed in 2013 by Darren Fletcher (Paul Weller) and Steve Hayes (Mick Talbot), The Style Councillors have quickly built a loyal fanbase for the group which was Paul Weller's home for the majority of the 1980's and where he wrote some of his finest songs. Dani Clay (Dee C. Lee) and Craig Read (Steve White) are joined by the Bad Manners Horn Section and a stellar line up of musicians hell-bent on recreating the sound of The Style Council.
After the dissolution of The Jam in 1982, Paul Weller joined forces with Mick Talbot, formerly of The Merton Parkas, Dextys Midnight Runners and The Bureau, to form The Style Council. After a string of succesful singles released in 1983 such as 'Speak Like a Child', 'Money-Go-Round' & 'Long Hot Summer', The Style Council released their debut album 'Café Bleu' to universal acclaim in March 1984. 'Café Bleu' featured favourites such as 'My Ever Changing Moods', 'You're The Best Thing', 'Headstart for Happiness' and more.
The Style Councillors will be reprising the album in full along with a set of other classics by The Style Council.

Directions:
From the M3
Head south towards Southampton, and follow signs for the M27 eastbound, (Southampton & Portsmouth) then continue as below.

From the M27
Leave the M27 at junction 5, take exit from the motorway roundabout signposted A335 Southampton. The road is called 'Thomas Lewis Way', and head towards Southampton City Centre. Go through the first lights, fork left at the second lights, signposted City Centre & Portswood (staying on the A335 Thomas Lewis Way). You pass a Shell petrol station on your right"hand side, then turn right at the next lights (3rd from Motorway) just before Machine Mart, then turn immediate left at the next lights (4th from Motorway) opposite B&Q. You are now on Portswood Road, The Brook is about 200 yards down this road on the left hand side.

Here is a local street map from www.multimap.com ;;

Parking:
We would advise that you park to the rear of the venue on the Belgrave Industrial Estate making sure not to block any part of the road, blocked by no-parking-cones, as lorries come and go at any time of day or night. If you block the lorry park, the show may be interrupted, and you will feel embarrassed!
As with all town parking, make sure that you conceal any valuables. There should be more street parking on Portswood Road, or on the side roads.

By Rail:
From Southampton Central or Southampton Parkway stations: Either get a connection to the local stations or exit the station, jump in a taxi and say \"The Brook, Portswood Road please!\"

By Bus:
First Group bus numbers 6& 7 (new numbers - March 2006) stop outside The Brook, The stop is called \"Mayfield Road\". Solent Blue Line bus number Bluestar 2 also stops outside The Brook and the university bus service Uni Link - U6 also stops here.
