The Selecter and The Beat, Salisbury City Hall, Salisbury - 3rd March 2018

I'm New to all this music, my partner loves it and that is why I bought him tickets to see The Beat but I think it was a brilliant night and now looking to download some music to feel the night all over again, The Selecter was also good but half way through got better more rhythm.

The Selecter and The Beat, Cheltenham Town Hall, Cheltenham - 16th February 2018

The Selecter and The Beat never fail to impress. With The Selecter opening the night I personally enjoyed the tracks from their new album as have been listening to this for many months. However the crowd really started some serious skanking with the old favourites with the floor of the palacial Cheltenham Hall bouncing to the rhythm. The Beat stepped up the energy with Rankin Roger and his son's Rankin Junior's boundless energy. brilliant classics mixed with some superb material from their latest album Bounce.

The Selecter have always been essential band since their inception in 1979 and continue to remain vital since recently reforming. Remaining challenging and compelling and performing high energy shows, The Selecter remain as important as ever.

Following the release of their latest critically acclaimed album Subculture, they have announced headline dates for the new year.

They join sensational Sheffield festival Outlines 2017 as one of the main attractions of the magnificent metropolitan festival taking place across various venues in March.

In April they will play iconic Nottingham venue Rock City, O2 Academy Bristol, The Globe at Cardiff, O2 Institute Birmingham and O2 Shepherds Bush Empire in London. Then then move on to Pyramid Centre at Portsmouth and The Nick Rayns LCR in Norwich.

The Selecter tickets will sell fast so make sure you book yours before they are gone.

When classic bands reform they are typically marketed as a heritage act with lesser bands opting into the easy money to be made through nostalgia. Not so with The Selecter who have continued to grow artistically and excel in their live performance. In recent years they have re-established themselves as a major festival act, played three headline tours and released the album Subculture to critical acclaim.

Led by iconic singer Pauline Black, who has also enjoyed success with her recent shows on BBC 6 Music and the release of her book Black By Design, the band continues to drive audiences wild with their high energy show fuelled by anarchic passion. With confidence at sky high levels, their upcoming shows are bound to be absolutely amazing.

The Selecter concert tickets are always massively popular so expect them to sell out quickly. We advise to book early or risk missing out. Gigantic always have a huge array of must have gig tickets so stick with us for the very best experience.
