About The Pale

Irish music legends The Pale will play Dublin’s The Grand Social on Saturday, June 11th as part of their 30th Anniversary tour in celebration of their debut album ‘Here’s One We Made Earlier’, tickets for this show will go on sale at 9am on Thursday April 7th.

This show will be part of a nationwide tour to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the release of their debut album ‘Here’s One We Made Earlier’. Originally released on A&M Records back in 1992, the album featured three of their most well knowns songs, ‘Dogs With No Tails’ ‘Shut Up Venus’ and the song they are probably most known for ‘Butterfly’ which has become an Irish music classic and still receives regular airplay on Irish Radio stations today. The success of the album saw The Pale doing extensive tours around the world including Europe, the U.S and Japan, as well as appearances at all the major festivals of the time. The band head out across the country from early April to play at some of their favourite live music venues on this milestone tour, ending the shows at Dublin’s legendary The Grand Social on Saturday June 11th.
The band recently released their first ever best of compilation album entitled ‘Paleanthology’ which is a 13-song collection of highlights from their diverse career, featuring some new recordings of some of their most loved songs recorded especially for the release. The Pale will be performing the songs from their debut album along with many of their best known and loved songs from their extensive career in what is always guaranteed to be a very energetic and uplifting show they have become famous for.

'Performing 'Here's One We Made Earlier' in 2022 is something that would have been hard for us to imagine in 1992. It is humbling to think that people still want to hear these songs. Believe us when we say that it feels like a privilege to play these 30-year-old songs for an audience. Some songs from the album have evolved and have been reimagined over the years and some songs haven't changed at all, but all of them feel newly reinvigorated by this tour. We cannot wait' - Matthew Devereux/The Pale
