Perhaps the world’s very first novelty band, The Bonzo Doo Dah Dog Band exploded in the British rock scene at the very height of psychedelia and were in the unique position of being part of it whilst also parodying the culture that surrounded them. Tapping into a huge range of genres and styles including music hall, pop, trad jazz, and psych meant that their music stood on its own merit and continues to impress today.
