Great live band and venue
The evening started off great with a warm welcome from the door staff at Albert's Nottingham, same at the bar, with a good choice of drinks and reasonable prices. Upstairs I got a friendly welcome again from the gent on the door to the gig venue; the gig was well attended but not too rammed. Unfortunately I missed the first support band, Dark Matter, but arrived in time to catch the Dandy Lions who put on a good show. The sound quality was a bit iffy to start - couldn't hear much at the treble end - but this was resolved by about 3 songs in. StOp sToP as always were amazing, kept us on our feet all night, singing along and headbanging, finishing up with a sort of mad conga line through and with the audience. Sweaty, noisy, and fun! Nice guys, they were happy to pose for selfies afterwards, and meet fans at their merch stall. £7 for a great night out, a slight hangover, and a touch of whiplash :-D
