Smoove & Turrell are pioneers of their very own Nothern Funk sound, which draws on soul, northern soul, hip-hop, electronica and funk.
Led by J Jonathan Scott Watson (AKA Smoove) and singer / songwriter John Turrell, their band members are Mike Porter (Keyboards), Lloyd Wright (Guitar), Neil Harland (Bass) and Oscar Cassidy (Drums).
They have released seven records, including Antique Soul (2009), Eccentric Audio (2011), Broken Toys (2014), Crown Posada (2016), Mount Pleasant (2018), Solid Brass: Ten Years Of Northern Funk (2019) and Stratos Bleu (2020).
