Shawn James is a singer / songwriter from Chicago who taps into blues, folk, and soul. He performs both as a solo artist and leader of his band The Shapeshifters.
His solo output includes records Shadows (2012), Deliverance (2014), On the Shoulders of Giants (2016), The Dark & The Light (2019), The Guardian Collection (2020) and A Place in the Unknown (2022).
He has released five studio albums with The Shapeshifters, including The Wolf (2013), The Bear (2013), The Hawk (2014), The Covers (2014) and The Gospel According to Shawn James & The Shapeshifters (2015).

Had a brilliant night! The support acts were all fantastic and Shawn blew us away. His vocals are amazing and he was such a lovely guy who hung around afterwards to meet everyone. Couldn’t have asked for a better gig!
