Seamus Fogarty to perform super intimate Dublin date to mark reissue of his acclaimed 2012 debut album "God Damn You Mountain"

Seamus Fogarty is marking the vinyl reissue of his debut album God Damn You Mountain on Lost Map Records with a special tour of select venues across the UK and Ireland throughout March and April. Having been out of print for nearly a decade, the album was met with widespread acclaim upon its original release in 2012, praised both for its fresh approach to songwriting and unique fusion of traditional instrumentation & electronics.

Jim Carroll for the Irish Times summed it up best, stating, "the ghostly emotional wallop of the tunes will take your breath away." Since that album was released the alt-folk alchemist has released two albums on Domino Records - 'A Bag Of Eyes' at the end of 2020 and 'The Curious Hand', released in 2017.  His most recent release, the Hee Haw EP, was released on Lost Map Records at the end of 2023 with the lead single 'They Recognised Him' receiving high praise from a wide range of DJs and personalities across RTE & the BBC, from John Kelly to Gideon Coe to Cillian Murphy ('just brilliant')

He has toured extensively with Lisa O'Neill and has also appeared at many notable festivals including the main stage of Green Man, Eurosonic, Latitude, Electric Picnic, Cambridge Folk, Mosely Folk and Haldern Pop.

He has appeared on Other Voices and recorded live sessions for Mark Radcliffe on his BBC Radio 2 show and Cerys Matthews on BBC 6Music. For these shows, he will be revisiting God Damn You Mountain and also previewing new material from his next release, due out early next year

"A record that nestles beautifully at the point where the digital and analogue worlds

collide"  The Skinny *****

"The ghostly emotional wallop of the tunes will take your breath away"  The Irish Times ****

"Deep listening psychedelic folk, a peaty brew." - The Quietus Magazine

" It's sad, it's lovely, and it evokes a world I'll probably never live in, but one that feels familiar all the same" - Drowned In Sound
