Sad13 Tickets

Sadie Dupuis is the intellectual powerhouse and relentless creative force working under the title Sad13. Multi-instrumentalist and poet Dupuis is also the lead vocalist for indie rock band Speedy Ortiz.

She has recently released a new album entitled Slugger. Centred around feminist reconstruction of pop, Dupuis attempts to create positivity at the core and avoid any divisionalism which is so often found at the core of pop music.

She describes the new music as “Songs that put affirmative consent at the heart of the subject matter and emphasize friendship among women and try to deescalate the toxic jealousy and ownership that are often centered in romantic pop songs.

See her promote Slugger with exciting upcoming headline dates. See her perform at Crofters Rights in Bristol, The Eagle Inn at Salford and Boston Music Room in London during May, 2017.

The critics have been quick to garnish new Sad13 album Slugger with praise.

Nuanced, thoughtful discussions broadcast with power and volume: please give Sad13 all your yesses. But only if you want to.” - The Skinny

Slugger is a no-holds-barred art-pop surge of iron-clad beats, and acute lyricism that goes beyond post-breakup reflections and confronts the listener to actually think about the state of being a biological, self-identifying, or perceived female in today’s world and the ardent misogyny they face.” - The 405
