Watch the magic unfold in Rumpelstiltskin the Pantomime this Christmas at Park Theatre.

Charles Court Opera's annual boutique Christmas shows are legendary, and Rumpelstiltskin – an upside down re-telling of the classic Brothers Grimm fairytale – will be no exception.

The writing team behind last year's OFFIE award-winning hit, Beowulf, present another completely reimagined, madcap fairytale with a brand-new script by John Savournin and new music and lyrics by David Eaton.

A 21st century morality tale of names, identities, adventure and hilarity, Rumpelstiltskin is full of cheeky humour, magical music and a cluster of fantastical characters, all wrapped in their trademark off-the-wall wacky and wonderful weirdness. This must-see pantomime is like no other – and is the perfect festive fairytale treat for families, adults, kids and friends alike. Imaginative, irreverent and irresistible!

Finsbury Park station and the surrounding area can get very busy when Arsenal play at home. Please plan your travel to the theatre accordingly.

Park Theatre is the brainchild of Artistic Director, Jez Bond, and Creative Director, Melli Bond, who – following a six year London-wide search for a building – discovered a vacant office block next to Finsbury Park station in 2010. Garnering support from the theatre community at large – including luminaries such as Ian McKellen and Alan Rickman, the press and, importantly, local residents – they set out to raise the necessary funds to convert the tired concrete building into a thriving new theatre and beacon for the community. At a cost of just £2.6 million, the building, designed by David Hughes Architects, opened in May 2013 to rave reviews from the critics.

Nearest Tube station is Finsbury Park (Station Place Exit). Exit left out of Station Place then left and under the bridge. Then second left onto Morris Place, Park Theatre is at the end.

Travel by train: Old Street, Moorgate. Nearest tube: Kings Cross
