ROCHESTER CASTLE CONCERTS FAQS The Rochester Castle Concerts will take place on Thursday 6th July, Friday 7th July, Saturday 8th July and Sunday 9th July 2023. Opening Times: July 6th - 17.00 - 23.00 July 7th - 17.00 – 23.00 July 8th - 15.00 – 23.00 July 9th - 15.00 – 22:00Last entry is at 19.00pm on the 6th & 7th July. Last entry is at 19.00pm on the 8th & 9th July. Please ensure that you arrive early to avoid crowds and that you are allowed entry. Please note that this event is strictly no re-admission. Please ensure you have everything you need before entering. Rochester Castle Concerts COVID Protocol: The organisers of the Rochester Castle Concerts kindly request that all ticket-holders comply with our entry regulations on arrival below please. Of course, if you have any symptoms of Covid-19 whatsoever we kindly request that you do not attend the concerts and follow governmental advice as is applicable at the date of the concert Transport: Please ensure that you have purchased the correct tickets for your journey to and especially from The Castle Concerts as after each event all stations will be very busy and queues to ticket-machines loooooong. • 6th July, 7th July, 8th July, 9th July Full information on last available train times to and from Strood, Rochester and Chatham stations will be made available as soon as National Rail information is available for July 2023 With excellent public transport links along the Medway coast and into and out of London we strongly recommend taking train or bus services to the Rochester Castle Concerts as close by parking availability is limited and with local road closures being in place congestion is likely, especially pre and post-concerts. The nearest Train stations are Rochester (5-minute walk), Strood (10-minute walk) and Chatham (30 minute walk). Strood bus station is also a short walk away. AGMP are always looking to make our concerts an inclusive space for everyone. • Rochester Castle is an outdoor concert space which is mostly on a level surface with tarmac pathways as well as grass areas where, when muddy, assistance will be required as the surface is uneven in many places. Due to the nature of the venue, and our official capacity there is only a limited amount of seating available and we are sorry but it is not permissible to bring portable chairs into the site. • The main entrance to the concerts is located at the top of a steep hill thus careful planning for your visit is required please in order to avoid disappointment and for those with mobility issues it is challenging • The viewing platforms & areas are on a first come first serve basis and strictly only accessible to those with the correct passes which will be issued to you by the ticket agent from who you purchase your ticket. Personal Assistants will only be able to access the viewing platform if there is space available at the time. Our platform has a 1+1 policy so space can be used for those who need it most, however, we do appreciate that at times this may not be possible if you have children or adults who can’t be separated. BOOKABLE ACCESS FACILITIES 2 FOR 1 – ONE FREE DISABILITY ACCESS PERSONAL ASSISTANT PASS • Customers requiring assistance throughout the festival are entitled to one free pass for their Personal Assistant/Support worker. Please note that the individual with a disability must have a ticket. • In our commitment to make Rochester Castle Concerts accessible to everyone, we may provide deaf or disabled ticket holders that would be unable to attend without use of a personal assistant (PA), and are in receipt of one or more of the following, with a ticket at no additional cost for one PA: Middle or Higher rate DLA for care and/or mobility Receipt of Personal Independence Payment (PIP) Evidence of being severely sight impaired CredAbility Access Card – + 1 category requirement A recognised Assistance Dog ID Card. Disabled Toilets will of course be provided Box Office Opening Times: 6th, 7th, 8th 9th – 11.00am Box Office Closing Times: 6th & 7th - 19.00pm + 8th & 9th - 18.00pm. Everyone attending The Rochester Castle Concerts will require a ticket. You may require ID for proof of age to gain entry. Please Ensure all under 16’s are accompanied by a responsible adult with identification checks in place for the adult. Maximum 3 under 16's accompanied by an adult. A wristband with responsible adult contact number on reverse will be supplied at the event ticket-check and must be worn at all times We ONLY accept the following forms of ID: - Your current passport (no photocopies) - Your UK Driver’s Licence or Provisional Licence · Validate UK (must be a pass card with a hologram) - A CitizenCard Challenge 25 Policy: A challenge 25 policy will be in place for all alcohol and tobacco sales on site. If you are lucky enough to look under 25, we will need valid ID from you, or we cannot sell you a drink/tobacco. Please note, the Rochester Castle Concerts are a 14+ event and everyone attending will require a ticket. Under 16s must be accompanied by a Ticket Holder aged 18 or over (You may require ID for proof of age to gain entry). Please see above for accepted forms of ID. Ticket Holders aged 18 or over can only accompany a maximum of three under 18’s to the festival. The Full Check-List of what to bring to Rochester Castle Concerts: - Entry Ticket - Mobile Phone – if your ticket is on your ticket-providers app, make sure you are fully charged, download the app before arriving and have your ticket ready upon entry. Remember to always keep your phone and valuables safe. - Enough cash and/or cash card – remember to keep your money safe! - Valid ID – accepted forms of ID can be found in the information above - Clothing for all weather – Make sure to check the latest weather before you leave for the event. - Sun protection cream – must be less than 100ml, no aerosols or glass bottles allowed. - Medication – if you need to bring prescribed medication with you, please email us in advance at rochestercastle@agmp.co.uk to avoid delays or confiscation. Remember to tell your friends of any allergies you have. - Pocket sized camera for personal use – professional cameras are not permitted unless this has been pre-authorised by our Press team. - Please ensure your bag is no larger than an A4 sheet (if in doubt, dimensions are: 14” x 14” x 18”). Please do not bring any of the following items: - Portable chairs will not be able to be brought on site but small, portable blankets are fine. There will be picnic furniture in the food & drink area for you to sit and eat at. - Food or drink – this includes any liquids or alcohol. Delicious, reasonably priced food & drink options are available inside the festival. - Illegal weapons and drugs – these items are not permitted by law and will be confiscated and you will be removed from the festival. - Laughing gas – vendors or users are committing an offence under Section 52 of the Medicines Act 1968 of selling and/or supplying a pharmacy medicine not under the control of the pharmacist. - Pets – please don’t bring your furry friend. Assistance dogs, however, are permitted. - Glass – glass is not allowed at the festival for safety reasons. This includes glass perfume and make-up bottles. - Prohibited items will be confiscated and persons found in possession of illegal items will be removed from the festival. - All bags are subject to search on entry. To avoid lengthy queues we strongly advise that you do not bring a bag. Please allow plenty of time for queues, entry procedures, ticket checks and searches. - Bags larger than A4 in size are not permitted. Due to security reasons, we are very sorry but there are no self-storage locker facilities at these concerts - If in doubt, small bags with the dimensions 350mm x 350mm x 450mm (14” x 14” x 18”) are permitted, subject to search. Water Points – There will be water points located at every bar and toilet block where you can refill your Deposit Return Cups. Bins – there will be litter bins located throughout the site.
