Christy Fearn: Event Description

A creative writing workshop inspired by Goose Fair and local history. Feel free to bring along your own memories of Goose Fair, share stories and get writing.

Christy Fearn; Biography

Christy Fearn, Nottinghamshire author and performer, has written and performed presentations about the Romantic poets: Byron, Shelley, Coleridge and also Mary Shelley, at many book festivals and literary events. She also performed the lead female role in the Regency play 'The Weathercock' at the Britain and Greece festival (at various venues in Greece including Messolonghi and the University of Athens). A self-confessed 'Byron nut' she has a tattoo of her hero on her arm. In a Left Lion interview she was described as 'The Girl with the Byron Tattoo'. Passionate about social history, she has written and performed in many locations for local projects: writing and directing a one woman show for the 'Characters of Cranborne Chase' project and performing 'Mary Shelley - Mother of Monsters' in 2024

Her debut novel, 'Framed' about the Nottingham Luddites, was published in 2013.
