Andrew Mayer Cohen is said to have been raised by hippy parents when growing up in Ann Rbor, Michigan. He moved to Los Angeles in 2005 and was signed to the label Stones Throw for the purposes of using his music for sampling, however upon hearing it the label’s boss Peanut Butter Wolf decided he needed to be pushed as an act in his own right.
His latest album is called Man About Town and was released in April. The record has amazed critics and the press and promises to be the basis of some fantastic live shows in the near future.
