Fantastic night
A brilliant evenings entertainment by Hayes Carll, a truly original musician. The whole event was only let down by the lack of bar staff (1 person for a sell out gig, not the fault of Cosmic American rather the lack of management at the Maze!)
Would recommend the performers that they book.

Full value set from Texan Troubadour
A friendly welcome marked my first visit to the Maze to see long time favourite Hayes Carll. Unfortunately all the seating was already occupied so I made my way to the bar and a raised standing area. Having equipped myself with a pint of session bitter I settled in to the opening set from Chris Reece (sp) an engaging performer with a fine voice and accomplished guitar player. By the interval the venue was packed and the temperature building, fortunately I had brought my rucksack and was able to remove my jacket and pack it away. Hayes opened at 9pm sharp and gave us two hours of his back catalogue and new composition interspersed with explanations and reminiscences which were well received by the enthusiastic audience. Standing for over 3 hours is not welcome for my demographic ( I can still manage 90 minutes in the away end) but well worth it.
