The Hound Dog is proud to present jazz clarinetist, Arun Ghosh with support from Gary Reader!

Conceived in Calcutta, bred in Bolton, matured in Manchester and now living in London Arun Ghosh is a British-Asian clarinettist, composer and music educator. His musical vocabulary reflects his rich geographical heritage. Using the spirit and language of jazz, with hip-hop, Indian classical and folk, Western classical, rock, pop and avant-garde, his music is full of lyrical melodies and searching harmonies. Arun is joined by on stage with a stellar line up of musicians.

Award-winning clarinettist Arun Ghosh is a leading light on the UK jazz scene, Arun is considered a renowned innovator of modern IndoJazz. His music is at times evocative and introspective, other times searing and effervescent…but always brought to life, and given breath by Arun’s uniquely expressive clarinet playing and style, vibrancy and spirit. A charismatic and communicative performer, Arun Ghosh’s shows are always special, spontaneous and moving events; this is a gig not to be missed! 

Gary Reader is a jazz saxophonist and composer.His first album "Moja" was released in 2011 and received excellent reviews. His second album, "Emerald Thunder" was released in 2020.He released a third album in 2022 entitled "Journey of a Lifetime".
