TERMS & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
1.1 Ard Rock Enduro 2020

Every rider understands and admits his/her participation in the event is voluntary. He/she assumes full responsibility for any injuries or damages from his/her participation in, or practice for, the event. Participants must read the event regulations and agree to the entry terms and conditions as stated by the organiser. He/she recognises that mountain biking and the activities associated with this event may be hazardous and that participation is solely at his/her own risk. In this regard, full responsibility for any injuries or damages that may occur lie with the competitor. Every rider acknowledges, that by entering the event that he/she has read and understood and accepts this entire waiver of liability and agrees to be legally bound by it.
3.1 This event is physically demanding, the participant should therefore be fit and in good health to participate. If the participant has any medical condition which could be adversely affected by exercise, particularly a heart condition or has any doubt about his health, he must consult a doctor to gain approval to participate. By entering the participant confirms that, to the best of his knowledge, his general state of fitness is good and takes full responsibility for himself.
4.1 For reasons of fairness, safety and responsibility the Participant is expected to abide by the following rules and regulations as laid out by the Organisers. Ignorance of these rules and regulations shall be regarded as no excuse and failure to comply with these rules and regulations may lead to penalties or disqualification from the Event.
4.2 Participants should take note of and abide by the following important points
5.1 Compliance. It is the sole responsibility of the Participant to comply at all times during the Event with all applicable laws, byelaws and regulations of the United Kingdom, including without limitation, all speed regulations, road traffic laws and laws relating to the possession or use of alcohol, drugs or other prohibited substances.
5.2 The Participant acknowledges and understands that the Event is a potentially hazardous sporting event. The Participant acknowledges and accepts that participation in an event such as the Event is potentially dangerous and that there are numerous risks associated with a participation. Such risks and dangers include, but are not limited to: traffic accidents, collisions with pedestrians, vehicles, other drivers, and/or fixed or moving objects and the negligence of other road users. Further, the Participant fully understands and accepts that his participation in the Event may result in serious bodily injury and/or death to yourself or others. The Participant further acknowledges and accepts that the route of the Event may require running and/or cycling on public roadways and on rough uneven terrains upon which pose travelling hazards and risks. Further, the Participant accepts that participation in the Event will result in strenuous physical exertion as participants will be required to be active for very long periods of time, including the risk of being active through inclement weather and/or very hot weather.
5.3 The Participant enters the Event voluntarily and with full knowledge and understanding of the risks associated with participation in the Event, the Participant is strongly advised to take every reasonable precaution and in the case of any questions is advised to contact the Organiser prior to the Event.
5.4 The Participant declares that he/she voluntarily enters the Event with full knowledge and understanding of the risks associated with the participation in the Event.
5.5 Insurance – The Participant acknowledges and understands that it is his personal responsibility to arrange for personal insurance cover for the Event. By agreeing to the declaration on the Event Entry Form, the Participant accepts that the Organiser has made this clear to the Participant in advance of the Event.
6.1 Transfers – Entries may be transferred in to another name up to 5 weeks before the first day of the event. Transfers can not be processed after this date. Transfers will incur an administration fee of £15 per transfer. You can not transfer between races. Click this link to transfer your entry to another rider. Please note, due to system developments you can will not be able to refund or transfer your entry until 2nd December 2019.
6.2 Refunds – Refunds are subject to a £25 cancellation charge. You may withdraw your entry up to 5 weeks before the first day of the event. Cancellations after this date are not possible. Most travel insurance policies will cover your tickets if you are unable to attend at short notice due to reasons out of your control. To receive your refund you must pay a £25 release fee. Once paid you will receive a link to automatically process your refund. Refunds take up to 3-5 working days to clear. You will receive a face value refund. Click this link to process your refund. Please note, due to system developments you can will not be able to refund or transfer your entry until 2nd December 2019.
7.1 The acquisition of essential equipment, including specific safety equipment, in order to take part in the Event is the responsibility of the Participant and the Organiser strongly advises that these acquisitions are secured before entering the Event.
7.2 The Organiser accepts no responsibility for the loss of, theft, or damage to any property owned by or under the control of the Participant deposited by the Participant in the Event’s event village and/or at any point of the Event course. This includes any transport of equipment that may be in element of the service provided during the event by, or on behalf, of the organisers.
8.1 Participants will be refunded if the organiser cancels the event prior to the event commencing for any other reason than safety of the participants.
8.2 The organiser reserves the right to amend the event schedule and format.
8.3 The organiser reserves the right to relocate the event.
9.1 If equipment is provided to the Participant by the Organiser, all reasonable care is expected to be exercised by the Participant in relation to this equipment. If it can be seen that the Participant wilfully or maliciously damages equipment or where negligence has been shown in the care of such equipment, the Participant hereby accepts that the Organiser has the right to charge the Participant for the cost of replacing the equipment.
9.2 Where timing equipment and/or other timing equipment are issued to the Competitor to wear during the Event, the Organiser expects these to be returned post-event. Where they are not returned, the Participant hereby agrees to reimburse the Organiser for the replacement value of £60.
10.1 I understand and accept that media professionals may take photographs and video footage of the event and its participants for use to publicise and promote events and sponsors.
11. Personal Film
11.1 The Participant is welcome to take photographs and film footage of his participation in the Event for non-commercial purposes (that is for personal and private use only).
12.1 The personal data and entry specific information the participant gives will be used by the Event Organisers for the purpose of processing and publishing entries and results and of maintaining membership information. The organisers will not pass this data to any other third party. Credit and Debit card details are held solely by the Secure Payment Service Provider and are unknown to the Event Organisers.
13.1 In registering the participant must provide a valid email address so the organiser can send confirmation of event registration. The email address supplied (and any email addresses given when registering other people) may be used by the Event Organiser to send out information about the events entered. It may also be used by the organiser after the event ends to send follow-up information about the event and future events.
14.1 This section explains that the law allows you to cancel many online purchases up to seven working days after you made the transaction – unless the service you have paid for has begun within this time. If you will be entering a race online you should note the conditions below. This explains that because we will be sending you information relating to the event immediately the service will be considered to have begun, and you will no longer have the right to cancel. If you do not wish to waive your cancellation right in this way, you should not proceed with race entry via the website.
