And So I Watch You From Afar released The Endless Shimmering on the 20 October 2017 on Los Angeles based record label Sargent House home of fellow noiseniks Deafheaven, Chelsea Wolfe and Russian Circles. The band left home to spend the Autumn and Winter in Europe, UK and Ireland playing their biggest headline tour to date drenching sold out audiences with their most thunderous collection of songs to date. After making hints towards more material surfacing this year with a recording trip to Iceland planned this spring and a remix album nearing completion the band will be making some select appearances this summer, headlining festivals in Germany, Ireland and UK, closing the opening night of the revered Arctangent Festival along side Shellac and Glassjaw. Autumn sees ASIWYFA departing to Asia before embarking on their first ever Australian tour in October.

Kerrang! - "Belfast-based (mostly) instrumental crew And So I Watch You From Afar – yes, it’s a mouthful, but just think of them as “Amazing Live”, and that’s half of what you need to know…"

The Independent - "...these 9 tracks are And So I Watch You From Afar’s most focused and taut songs to date and yet they still sound thrillingly vibrant and full of life.”

The Skinny - "And So I Watch You From Afar’s fifth album, The Endless Shimmering, exemplifies the phenomenal talent of the band, filled with precise, punishing breakdowns and rapid-fire, disorienting changes in tempo and mood.”

The Irish Times - "...it’s difficult to find fault with this brilliantly paced, beautifully played album, which acts as the convergence of the many strands of their back catalogue, pleasing both the arms-folded head-nodders and the kids who want to dance (or mosh) to their songs.”

Prog (Team Rock) - "The Endless Shimmering is album number five – keeping up their release‑every two‑years hot streak – and it feels like a coming of age for the quartet, with each of the nine songs contributing something vital, just like all great records."

DIY Magazine - "As a first taster of what to expect from the new album, they’ve shared the epic ‘A Slow Unfolding Of Wings’. Combining a few slower, more contemplative yet complex melodies alongside passages of pure, blistering riffs and thunderous percussion, it shows off the raw energy that they aimed to instil into the whole of ‘The Endless Shimmering’.”
