Great history lesson
My daughter is 11 and loves history, she was in her element at this event. There was plenty to see and do.
The only downside was 1940's hair and make up was advertised and we neither found this activity nor anyone whom knew about it! which was a little disappointing as my daughter was looking forward to it.
The drill sergeant was excellent and the children loved it. Everyone looked really good dressed up and the band stand entertainment and dancing was very good.
My daughter is looking forward to returning next year :)

A bank holiday to remember
What a wonderful time my friend and I had. The band and dancers were just amazing. There were great clothing stalls to have a gaze at and walking through the inside rooms, looking at 1940's toys, shops and household items was just fantastic. The public joined in the theme so much with fantastic costumes and we're happy to have a photo taken with you. Took so many photos and videos of the spitfire plane, bombs being fired, classic cars etc. Even sat in a 1940's classroom having a maths lesson with a teacher. He was very scary, but great fun.
Bring your own drink and picnic and I promise you won't be disappointed!
