Last week, Gigantic reached out to the public to ask what makes a festival special for you? We have had a great reponse to our #GiganticOpinions once again!

We heard from Dom Gourlay (@domlikesrabbits) who tweeted us to say “Being treated as a customer rather than cattle is key for me.” and Jade (@jadeu11) commented on our Instagram pic “Atmosphere I have probably been to 50 festivals in my life.” So, for these guys festivals need to be more than just a stage in a field. A good festival needs real character and a distinctive feel which only comes about by selecting the right location, careful curation of the acts selected to play and dedication to adding appropriate additional activities and attractions.

Wilderness takes place at Cornbury Park from Thursday 2nd of August till Sunday 5th of August and offers a unique experience to enjoy the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside. With a dedication to hosting excellent theatre and art events in addition to the great music, the award-winning four-day festival is fast becoming a firm favourite for many returning fans. Wilderness Festival 2018 tickets are currently available.

Andrew Bainbridge also tweeted us (@AMB280) with a shout out to his regular Download Festival crew; “The craic with my DL fam @paulrich91 @Ang0506” reminding us that makes festivals so special are the people. Coming from near and far, there is nothing quite like the shared experience that comes from spending days and nights, enjoying the same unique performances and developing a tribal mentality with your fellow revellers. Its these special days and crazy nights that turn friends into your festival family.

This year, Download will be running from Friday 8th till Sunday 10th of June and the headliners are true rock royalty with Avenged Sevenfold, Guns N’ Roses and Ozzy Osborne tipping the bill over the three nights. Plus, you can expect the very best hard and heavy bands from right across the globe to rock Donnington Park once again. Download Festival 2018 tickets are currently available.
