About Violent Femmes
The legendary Milwaukee alt rockers Violent Femmes have confirmed a headline date at The Troxy in London for Wednesday 18th June as part of their current tour in commemoration of the thirtieth anniversary of the release of their first album and you can book your Violent Femmes tickets through Gigantic.com
The Violent Femmes eponymous debut album brought them instant success in 1983 with hits like 'Blister in the Sun' and 'Add It Up'. The record was by far the most commercially successful release to date, but the band's further seven albums provided them with a truly legendary musical career, which the Femmes look set to reignite since their reunion in 2013.
Violent Femme's splits in 1987 and 2009, member departures and lawsuits have always given their music a spark and spontaneity, which has kept fans on the edge of their seats, but regular show announcements has given us the hope that the Femmes will be sticking around for a little longer.
