What is Sing-a-Long-a Sound of Music?
A screening of the classic 1965 movie musical (in glorious, full-screen technicolor) with subtitles burned onto the musical numbers so the whole audience can sing along!
The host for the evening will lead the audience through a vocal warm up, judge a fancy dress competition, show everyone how to use their free ‘magic moments’ pack and give them a guide to the appropriate actions including:
Booing the Nazis Hissing the Baroness And, of course, cheering for Julie
The audience then watches the movie with hundreds of other nuns, Julie Andrews look-alikes, Von Trapp children etc, and sing their hearts out during the songs!
Do you have to dress up?
No, dressing up is not compulsory, but is encouraged. There is a fancy dress competition where the best costumes are chosen by the audience and the winner is rewarded with a small prize. The object is not the winning however, rather the experience of dressing up and the taking par
