Sam Beam & Jesca Hoop are proud to present their Love Letter For Fire Tour.
Agonisingly tender, the pair duet to conjure songs that speak of nature, emotion and love. Sophistically written but easily accessible, Jesca and Sam’s acoustic songs will tug at your heart and stay with you forever.
Love Letter For Fire will be released on April 15th on the innovative label Sub Pop. Featuring the talents of Robert Burger (keys), Eyvind Kang (violin, viola), Glenn Kotche (drums, percussion), Sebastian Steinberg (bass) and Edward Rankin-Parker (cello).
Samuel Beam is known better by the name Iron & Wine. A modern folk hero, he has released recordings prolifically since his first album release in 2002 and his work is often appropriated for use in TV and film.
Beam had been interested in exploring the potential of a duet for some time stating “It’s not just a monologue, it’s a conversation”, and so had already been searching for someone to work with.
American singer songwriter Jesca Hoop is known for her excellent use of harmonies and sumptuous vocals. She confidently moves from folk, to jazz and rock.
Beam having never shared song writing process, initially found it hard to let go of absolute control but now finds the give and take that comes with the new approach greatly rewarding. Having had to expose himself perhaps lends itself to the music which is warm with compassion and achingly delicate.

Hoop enthuses about their finished work; “I am truly delighted at the existence of these of songs and I am so very grateful for the experience of writing and recording them with Sam. I hope they bring you all joy and deepen for you the beauty in life”.
The pair will be playing in Union Chapel in London on Thursday 1st September.
