About Magic Teapot presents Emma Pollock
Emma was formally a founding member of The Delgados, alongside Stewart Henderson, Paul Savage and Alun Woodward. The band formed in Glasgow during 1995 and released five studio albums before finally splitting in 2005.
Her debut solo album, Watch The Fireworks, was produced by Victor Van Vugt and released on infamous indie label 4AD (who have previously released the likes of Pixies, The Birthday Party, Bauhaus, Grimes, Daughter) in 2007. Her second album, The Law Of Large Numbers came out in 2010.
In Search Of Harperfield was released on Chemikal Underground in February on 2016 and is available on CD, Vinyl and Download.

Her other work includes The Burns Unit. A group which started in 2007 and made up of eight members from Scotland and Canada.
In 2010 she formed The Fruit Tree Foundation with Rod Jones, guitarist from Idlewid, in conjunction with Mental Health Foundation. The project acts as a showcase of Scottish talent, as members include Karine Polwart, Scott Hutchinson of Frightened Rabbit, Jill O’ Sullivan from Sparrow And The Workshop and James Graham of The Twilight Sad.
The two projects are ongoing and she continues her roles as an ongoing member in both.
2016 will see her performing headline shows right across the country including O2 Academy Newcastle on Thursday 12th May, The Soup Kitchen in Manchester on Friday 13th May, O2 Academy3 in Birmingham on Wednesday 18th May and O2 Academy Islington in London on Wednesday 25th May.
