About Lil Jim & Z Theory
Lil Jim & The Z Theory are Lil Jim on accordion and providing vocals, Matt Carr playing guitar, bassist Cain Paisley and Mike Lee on drums.
The extremely talented musicians from Derby are the very best writers of cajun and zydeco music.
"It's heavily rhythm orientated," explains Jim. "Imagine ska and reggae with an accordion. Zydeco takes aspects of blues, funk and soul and rearranges them into a style that just makes you want to dance."
Although the band is tight from plenty of practice the shows are wild and spontaneous owing much to the massive personality of the band.
