Brokencyde are an American crunkcore group from Albuquerque, New Mexico, known for their chaotic fusion of electronic beats, screamo vocals and party-fuelled hip-hop. Emerging in the mid-2000s, the band became one of the most recognisable names of the Myspace era, building a cult following with their bold, genre-smashing approach and larger-than-life attitude. Their early breakout singles, including “Freaxxx” and “Booty Call”, helped define the crunkcore movement — a whirlwind mix of auto-tuned hooks, heavy synths and abrasive screams designed to ignite dancefloors and mosh pits alike. Their debut album I’m Not a Fan… but the Kids Like It! (2009) cemented their place as one of the scene’s most talked-about acts.
Over the years, Brokencyde have continued to evolve while staying true to their wild, unfiltered style, releasing records such as Will Never Die (2010), Guilty Pleasure (2011) and All Grown Up (2016). Their music remains unapologetically hedonistic, mixing humour, shock value and high-energy production into something unmistakably their own.
