Since their first full length album, the cult classic Spine Of God in 1992, Dave Wyndorf and Monster Magnet have established themselves as genuine legends. Genre defining albums such as Spine Of God, Superjudge and Dopes To Infinity and classic tracks such as Space Lord, Powertrip and Negasonic Teenage Warhead showcase the unique Monster Magnet sound and the unmistakable vocals of Dave Wyndorf. The band are currently working on new material. The last Monster Magnet album, 4-Way Diablo was released in late 2007. Another noteworthy addition to Monster Magnets hugely impressive catalogue, the album showcased emotionally intense ssongs like Little Bag of Gloom, Blow Your Mind and I'm Calling You (drawing on Wyndorf's drug overdose in 2006) alongside the demented optimism of Wall of Fire, You're Alive, Solid Gold, Slap in the Face and No Vacation. The band's heavy, psychedelic power is felt on Cyclone and A Thousand Stars while Freeze and Pixelate continued Wyndorf's experimental foray in to what he calls "movie themes for films that don't exist yet". |
