Karnivool emerged from Perth in 1998 and built a formidable reputation over three studio albums—Themata (2005), Sound Awake (2009) and Asymmetry (2013)—that combined complex riffs, thoughtful melodies and unmistakable atmosphere. Their forthcoming album, In Verses, scheduled for release on 6 February 2026 via Cymatic Records / Sony Music, marks the official fourth studio record in a long-awaited return.
The ten-track work is described by vocalist Ian Kenny as “an amalgamation of who we’ve become … over the last ten years”. It traverses feelings of frustration, catharsis and a rediscovery of identity, crafted in the band’s Perth studio with longtime producer Forrester Savell. In Verses is both a love letter to the fans and a striking entry point for new listeners, affirming Karnivool’s creative vitality and unwavering commitment to the craft.
